After dishing up their food the pair were more than happy to help with the raffle in aid Orchid, the male cancer charity the team is supporting - then spent a few hours chatting to TENA’s guests.

“The weather might have been miserable,” explained TENA’s UK marketing director Duncan Phillips, “but the pair of them gave us all something brilliant to remember from our day at Brands.

“It was a shame that there was no racing today, but we’re confident that Tris and Howie will do us proud when the season gets going at Thruxton. Weather permitting, of course!”

The Hairy Bikers will be appearing at a number of the Superbike seasons races in support of the TENA for Men Honda team – keep an eye on the website for more details!

Snow may have been falling outside, but the guests of the TENA for Men Honda team weren’t complaining too much, as TV favourites The Hairy Bikers were on hand to serve up some entertainment (and food) for the disheartened fans, as the season opener at Brands Hatch finally succumbed to the bad weather.

The duo, whose real names are Dave Myers and Si King, posed for photos with the riders and fans in the pits then put on a culinary display back at the team’s hospitality area, cooking delicious and rather exotic steak wraps.

“Of course we’d have loved to have seen Tris and Howie racing round the track,” said Dave, “but that’s not the only reason we were here today.

“We are fully behind TENA’s desire to raise the public’s awareness of bladder weakness, we really had no idea of the extent of the condition amongst men in the UK before getting involved with the team.”

“Don't forget to tell them we love anything to do with bikes Dave,” chipped in Si, “almost as much as cooking!”
