After a spectacular debut season winning the BSB Cup Championship at its
first attempt, and a fantastic new main sponsorship deal in place, the former
Team Howarth Racing (THR) team is looking forward to the 2008 season –
under the guise of TENA for Men Honda.
2008 will see current BSB Cup Champion Tris Palmer riding in the main BSB Championship; team leader Michael Howarth returning to defend the team’s Superbike Cup title after a season out with injury.

“The TENA for Men sponsorship is a complete win-win for us,” said Michael Howarth. “Of course it allows us to take the team forward, but we also get to do something worthwhile and positive and say, ‘it’s OK to suffer from male bladder weakness, a lot of blokes do…’ It’s not a subject that people feel comfortable talking about, but if we as a team can help in some small way to break that taboo, we have done something we can all be extremely proud of.”

The sponsorship has provoked some very positive developments on the track too – Tris and Michael will be competing on upgraded Honda Fireblade CBR1000 RRs this year – so the team has great expectations for them both:

“Last year was fantastic,” said team owner Darrell Halstead, “but 2008 should be even better, thanks to TENA for Men’s support of the team. Our riders are going to be very competitive, have no fear of that.”
